What is Power the Paw?
Power the Paw is one of two fundraising efforts Jackson PTO does during the year. We know requests to sell wrapping paper, cookie dough etc. are tedious and only give back a portion of the sales. We go straight to the source, our amazing Jackson community, and encourage you to donate. This ensures 100% of your contribution will benefit the school!
Why should I donate?
Your contribution directly funds the $85,000 annual operating budget the PTO uses. The budget supports art and dance instruction, PE equipment, classroom supplies, the garden, athletics, community events (Fall Festival, Santa Run, Ice Cream Social, Veteran’s Day Assembly, Donuts with Grown-Ups, KG/ TK Orientation, Family Science Night), Friday Folders, beautification/ school improvement projects, and more!
Is there a minimum amount to donate?
No minimum - every dollar helps! Our hope is that every family can contribute something that works within their budget.
How & when can I donate?
Power the Paw runs for 2 weeks in the first half of the school year.  The Jackson PTO uses a platform called “Give Butter” which allows you to pay by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal. Cash or check donations are also welcome and can be dropped off in the office.
