What is Power the Paw?
Power the Paw is one of two fundraising efforts Jackson PTO does during the year. We know requests to sell wrapping paper, cookie dough etc. are tedious and only give back a portion of the sales. We go straight to the source, our amazing Jackson community, and encourage you to donate. This ensures 100% of your contribution will benefit the school!

Why should I donate?
Your contribution directly funds the $85,000 annual operating budget the PTO uses. The budget supports art and dance instruction, PE equipment, classroom supplies, the garden, athletics, community events (Fall Festival, Santa Run, Ice Cream Social, Veteran’s Day Assembly, Donuts with Grown-Ups, KG/ TK Orientation, Glow Night, Student Entrepreneur Day, Color Run), Friday Folders, beautification/ school improvement projects, and more! 

Is there a minimum amount to donate?  
No minimum - every dollar helps! Our hope is that every family can contribute something that works within their budget.

How much value does my child receive from the PTO?
Every Jackson student benefits from $153 in programs, classroom support, campus improvements, and enriching experiences funded by the Jackson PTO each year. If every family were able to contribute $153 per Jackson student ($306 for two students, $459 for 3 students), the PTO would be able to fully fund these programs without asking families to participate in additional fundraising throughout the year. We recognize that every family's circumstances are different, and there is no expectation to give this amount. Whether your gift is $15, $50, $153, or any amount in between, every donation is meaningful and deeply appreciated. Thank you for supporting Jackson in whatever way is right for your family.


How & when can I donate?
Power the Paw runs for 2 weeks in the first half of the school year.  You can pay by credit card via the PTO's website or cash/ check donations can be dropped off in the office.
