Did you know that Jackson Elementary has the largest collection of books per student the district? Every year, the PTO writes a check to add lots of new titles to our school's library.  That means when our kids visit the library each week, there is always something new to keep them engaged in reading and learning.

The PTO also pays for an awesome program called "Reading Counts."   This program (used in our Computer Lab) analyzes your child's reading ability and assigns them a level (called a lexile).  Your child then inputs their areas of interest.   This program then maps their reading level to appropriately leveled books in our school library!  If you haven't seen one of their print-outs make it home yet, keep your eye out or talk to your child's teacher.
